The raw edge will now be hidden. Then you take the longer rectangle and measure down 9”. Fold the pillowcase in half, lining up the cuffs.

Then sew all the way around, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance, but be sure to leave a wide opening along the bottom to fit your pillow inside. Measure the length (longer side) and the width (shorter side) of your pillowcase. Notice that i lined up the hem side seam with the side seam of the pillowcase.
